The beginning is the best time of a new year. It's full of hope and it promises new adventures, beautiful stories and also a season of spring. We at WT are looking forward to an exciting as well as a mysterious journey with words, writers and our readers. A Very Happy 2013!
One of the most talented and promising writers, Geetakshi Arora, has helmed this new edition of WT called Prismatic Passions. A post-graduate student of English literature (Delhi University), this young word weaver is definitely a writer to look out for in the near future. Experience moulded last year's last edition and the promise of tomorrow is bringing for you an iridescent new edition, the first edition of 2013.
What an ‘apocalyptic' start to the year it has been! A thrill, a victory disguised as defeat, a new beginning with renewed vigour¬- all these hint tentatively at a change, hovering at the surface of our consciousness. As for the rest, some things are better left unchanged. This issue welcomes new thoughts and ideas, with the age- old passion for expression.
Transformation, which gives birth to new life, seemed a good way to welcome a year that would signify change. Let new life bludgeon forth amidst all the troubles that try to capture the frolicsome spirit that characterizes life. Capturing the multi-hued rainbow has never been possible; however, that brilliance can be reflected by a diamond- and we bring you these talented diamonds, expressing their interpretations of what signifies transformation for them, each in their own unique, beautiful way.
Till Next Time,
Geetakshi Arora (Guest Editor)
